Whip up Grandma's quick and easy buttermilk waffles, perfect for loading up with your favorite toppings!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Preheat the waffle iron following the manufacturer's instructions. Then preheat the oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C) with a wire rack set on a baking sheet placed inside.
  • In one bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. In a separate large bowl, mix buttermilk, egg, and oil. Gently fold the flour mixture into the buttermilk mixture until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the hot waffle iron, leaving a small border around the edges. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes as per the manufacturer's instructions, then move the cooked waffles to the oven rack. Repeat with the rest of the batter until all waffles are cooked.
