Savory bacon cabbage noodles: ultimate comfort for a cozy day.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package egg noodles
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 pound bacon
  • 1 small head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 dash garlic salt
Instructions:
  • Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Add the egg noodles and boil for about 5 minutes until cooked but still firm. Drain and return noodles to the pot, then stir in the butter.
  • Cook the bacon in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • In the skillet with bacon grease, sauté the onion until softened, about 2 minutes. Add cabbage and cook until wilted, about 5 minutes. Mix in chopped bacon and cook until cabbage is tender, about 10 minutes. Stir in noodles and heat through before serving.
