Indulgent mac and cheese casserole with a tangy twist of mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Topped with gooey Cheddar, buttery breadcrumbs, and paprika for that perfect finish.
Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces macaroni
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.75 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce
  • 1.5 tablespoons butter
  • 3.5 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 0.5 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
Instructions:
  • Begin by preheating your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then generously grease a 2 quart casserole dish.
  • Bring a generously salted pot of water to a boil. Cook macaroni for 8 to 10 minutes until al dente; drain.
  • Warm the milk in a small saucepan and then mix in mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and hot sauce before setting it aside.
  • Combine 1 1/2 tablespoons butter and 3 cups cheese with the drained macaroni. Pour hot milk mixture over the macaroni and cheese. Transfer to baking dish. Sprinkle 1/2 cup cheddar on top. Mix bread crumbs with melted butter and spread over the dish. Finally, sprinkle with paprika.
  • After half an hour in the preheated oven, transfer to the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes.
