Caramel Apple Crisp

Panko bread crumbs bring a delightful crispy topping to this comforting apple crisp.
Ingredients:
  • 4 medium tart baking apples, peeled, sliced, (4 cups)
  • 1/2 cup caramel-butterscotch topping
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Progresso™ Plain Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F and generously coat an 8-inch square pan with cooking spray. Combine apples with caramel-butterscotch topping in a large bowl, then spread the mixture evenly in the pan. In a separate medium bowl, mix the remaining ingredients well and sprinkle over the apples before baking.
  • Bake for 35-45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the apples are fork-tender. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.
