Impress guests with gourmet hot dogs featuring brie, caramelized onions, and juicy pork sausages.
Ingredients:
  • 6 Italian Pork Sausages
  • 2 brown onions, halved, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 24.00 gm brown sugar
  • 30.00 ml white wine vinegar
  • 6 hot dog rolls
  • 40.00 gm tomato chutney or relish
  • 60g pkt Baby Rocket
  • 200g brie, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • Heat up oil in a frying pan or preheat a barbecue grill on medium heat. Cook sausages for 8-10 minutes until browned all over and fully cooked. Transfer to a plate.
  • Heat the remaining oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Saute the onion and fennel seeds until golden and starting to caramelize, about 10 minutes. Stir in the sugar and vinegar, and cook for an additional minute until caramelized.
  • Split each roll lengthways using a serrated knife, but don't cut all the way through. Spread chutney or relish on each roll. Evenly divide rocket, brie, sausages, and onion mixture among rolls. Season to taste.
