Impress guests with easy, delicious cedar-plank salmon, grilled to perfection for deep smoky flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 0.125 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 6 (6 ounce) skin-on salmon fillets
  • 2 cedar planks, 7x12 inch, soaked in water for 1 hour
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, mix brown sugar, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle the mixture over the fillets, then lay the fillets 1 inch apart on soaked cedar planks.
  • Preheat your outdoor grill to medium heat, oil the grate lightly, and place the planks over the cooler center of the grill. Remember to position the thickest parts of the fillets closest to the fire.
  • Cook the fillets covered until an instant-read thermometer reads 135 degrees F (57 degrees C), for 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Take the planks off the grill, then allow the salmon to rest on them for 5 to 10 minutes.
