Try moist and flavorful cedar plank salmon with a quick soy and ginger marinade.
Ingredients:
  • 3 (12 inch) untreated cedar planks
  • 0.33333334326744 cup soy sauce
  • 0.33333334326744 cup vegetable oil
  • 1.5 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 0.25 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 (2 pound) salmon fillets, skin removed
Instructions:
  • Soak cedar planks in warm water for at least 1 hour, or longer if desired.
  • Combine soy sauce, vegetable oil, rice vinegar, sesame oil, green onions, ginger, and garlic in a shallow dish and mix well.
  • Submerge salmon fillets in flavorful soy mixture, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate in the fridge for at least 15 minutes, or up to 1 hour for maximum flavor infusion.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill to medium heat. Place planks on the grill grate and heat until they begin to smoke and crackle slightly.
  • Transfer the marinated salmon onto the planks and dispose of the marinade.
  • Cover the grill and cook the salmon until it easily flakes with a fork, approximately 20 minutes; remember salmon will keep cooking once taken off the grill.
