Impress with a playful apple-shaped cheddar and cream cheese spread!
Ingredients:
  • 2 packages (3 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onions
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (8 ounces)
  • Paprika
  • Cinnamon sticks and fresh sage leaves, if desired
  • Assorted crackers, if desired
Instructions:
  • Combine cream cheese, diced onion, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard in a large bowl until well mixed. Fold in Cheddar cheese. Chill in the refrigerator for approximately 2 hours until it's firm enough to mold.
  • Split the cheese mixture in half. Form one half into a ball on waxed paper. Place another sheet of waxed paper and sprinkle it with paprika. Roll the cheese ball in paprika until fully coated. Shape it into an apple shape. Repeat with the rest of the cheese mixture.
  • For an elegant touch, create small indentations in the stem ends of the apples. Cut 2 small pieces from a cinnamon stick and use them as stems. Garnish with sage leaves and serve the cheese balls with crackers.
