Quick and easy family dinner combining burgers and pasta with creamy melted cheese, flavored with special burger sauce. Prepped in just 10 minutes. Be sure to use a block of mild-tasting cheese for cost-effectiveness and flavor balance. Serve with salad or steamed vegetables.
Ingredients:
  • 300g dried macaroni pasta
  • 500ml (2 cups) warm water
  • 300ml ctn Light Thickened Cream
  • 160ml (2/3 cup) Full Cream Milk
  • 130g (1/2 cup) Coles Special Burger Sauce, plus 2 tbs, extra
  • 250g block Colby Cheese
  • 9.20 gm vegetable oil
  • 500g 4 Star Lean Beef Mince
  • 1 brown onion, finely chopped
  • 6 Tasty Cheddar Slices
  • 40.00 ml Coles Special Cheeseburger Sauce
  • 40.00 ml Special Burger Pickles
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 220C/200C fan forced and grease a 6cm-deep, 19cm x 26cm baking dish.
  • Layer the pasta in the dish and generously pour over the warm water, cream, milk, and burger sauce. Gently mix everything together until well combined. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes until beautifully cooked.
  • Mix the pasta well, then nestle the colby cheese block in the center. Cover with foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and the pasta is al dente.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook mince, breaking up any lumps, for 5-6 minutes until browned. Add two-thirds of the onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until mince starts to crisp. Season, cover, and set aside.
  • Take the pasta dish out of the oven. Preheat the grill to high. Mix the cheese into the pasta. Sprinkle half of the mince mixture on top and layer with tasty cheddar slices. Grill for 2-3 minutes until golden and bubbling.
  • Layer the rest of the mince mixture, onion, additional burger sauce, cheeseburger sauce, and pickles on top of the pasta. Serve hot. Enjoy watching our video tutorial for a visual guide on preparing this Cheeseburger mac and cheese bake.
