Indulgent twist on soft pretzels: Baked with smoked Gouda, ham, Dijon, and cream for ultimate savory delight.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb pretzel rolls, cut into 3/4-inch pieces (8 cups)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup sliced onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 lb diced ham
  • 2 cups shredded smoked Gouda cheese (8 oz)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 13 x 9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray, then place the pretzel roll pieces in a large bowl and set aside.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook onion for 4 to 5 minutes until tender and slightly browned. Pour over pretzel roll pieces in a bowl and toss to coat evenly.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, and mustard until smooth. Add ham and 1 cup of cheese, mix well. Pour this mixture over the pretzel roll pieces and toss until coated. Transfer to a baking dish and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheese on top. Bake for 33 to 36 minutes until crispy on top and the center reaches 165°F. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
