Impress with a unique cherry dessert twist that's sure to be a crowd-pleaser!
Ingredients:
  • Melted butter, for greasing
  • 425g can whole black cherries, drained, halved, stones removed
  • 1 x 250g carton sour light cream
  • 125mls (1/2 cup) thin cream
  • 110g (1/2 cup) caster sugar
  • 8.80 gm vanilla essence
  • 2 eggs, lightly whisked
  • 75g (1/2 cup) self-raising flour, sifted
  • Icing sugar mixture, to dust
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 190°C. Use melted butter to generously coat four 250ml (1-cup) ovenproof dishes. Spread cherries evenly over the bottom of the dishes and arrange them on a large baking tray.
  • Combine sour cream, cream, sugar, vanilla essence, and eggs in a medium bowl. Whisk until smooth, then add the flour and whisk until fully combined.
  • Transfer the mixture into a large jug and evenly drizzle it over the cherries. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until puffed and golden. Serve by dusting with the icing sugar.
