Indulge in a scrumptious cherry dessert for a delightful treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1.2kg cherries, pitted
  • 40.00 gm caster sugar
  • 50g butter, chopped
  • 75g plain flour
  • 50g rolled oats
  • 55g brown sugar
  • Ice cream or custard, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Simmer cherries with 2 tablespoons of water in a saucepan over low heat for 6-8 minutes. Add caster sugar and cook for an additional 5 minutes until soft.
  • Combine the butter and flour in a bowl, using your fingertips to form fine crumbs. Mix in the oats and brown sugar.
  • Transfer the cherries into a 4 cup (1 litre) ovenproof dish. Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly on top. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden. Let it cool a bit, then serve with your choice of ice cream or custard.
