Delectable homemade rice bubble bars – irresistible for all ages, perfect for any time of day!
Ingredients:
  • Melted butter, to grease
  • 105g (3 cups) Rice Bubbles
  • 75g (1 cup) granola
  • 200g skim condensed milk
  • 60g butter
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) honey
  • 65g (1/3 cup) NESTLÉ BAKERS' CHOICE Milk CHOC BITS
Instructions:
  • Prepare the 20 x 30cm rectangular cake pan by brushing it with luscious melted butter. Line the base and two long sides with non-stick baking paper, making sure to leave some extra hanging over the sides. Mix together the rice bubbles and granola in a spacious bowl.
  • Combine condensed milk, butter, and honey in a saucepan over low heat until the butter melts. Continue whisking for 10 minutes until the mixture becomes a pale caramel. Pour the hot caramel into the center of the cereal mixture and stir until fully combined.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the lined pan using the back of a metal spoon. Sprinkle the choc bits on top and gently press them into the granola mixture with your hands. Chill in the fridge for 6 hours or overnight until set.
  • Use the hanging parchment paper to effortlessly lift the slice out of the pan, then cut into bars. Store in an airtight container for freshness for up to a week.
