Indulgent creamy chicken, bacon, and ranch pasta shells for a delicious dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 24 uncooked jumbo pasta shells (from 12-oz box)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Progresso™ reduced sodium chicken broth (from 32-oz carton)
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 package (1 oz) ranch salad dressing & seasoning mix
  • 2 cups chopped cooked chicken
  • 1 package (10 oz) Cascadian Farm™ organic frozen cut leaf spinach, thawed, squeezed to drain
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (6 oz)
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/3 cup Progresso™ original panko crispy bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped cooked bacon
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and generously grease a 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish. Prepare pasta shells according to package instructions, then drain.
  • In a 4-quart saucepan over medium heat, melt 1/4 cup of butter. Whisk in flour until smooth and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.
  • Combine the broth and whipping cream in a 4-cup glass measuring cup. Slowly incorporate this mixture into a saucepan over medium-high heat until it boils, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 1 minute, then reduce the heat to medium. Add cream cheese and cook until melted, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Mix in the dressing mix to the sauce. Pour 1 cup of the sauce into the baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
  • Combine 1 cup of sauce, chicken, spinach, 1 cup of shredded cheese, and 1/4 cup of green onions in a medium bowl.
  • Stuff each pasta shell generously with the chicken mixture and arrange in a baking dish. Pour the remaining sauce over the stuffed shells. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until heated through. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheese on top and bake uncovered for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese melts.
  • In an 8-inch skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add bread crumbs and stir well to coat. Cook and continuously stir for 2 to 4 minutes until they turn golden brown.
  • Garnish the shells with crispy bacon, golden bread crumbs, and the rest of the chopped green onions before serving.
