Indulge in rich chocolate walnut squares for a delightful afternoon treat.
Ingredients:
  • 250g pkt Milk Coffee biscuits, crushed
  • 45g desiccated coconut
  • 115.00 gm walnuts, plus 24 extra walnut halves to decorate
  • 10.00 gm cocoa powder
  • 53.60 gm golden syrup
  • 240g dark chocolate, plus extra melted chocolate to drizzle
  • 125g unsalted butter
Instructions:
  • Prepare a 20cm x 30cm lamington pan by lining it with baking paper. Use a food processor to blend biscuits, coconut, nuts, and cocoa into coarse crumbs. Transfer the mixture into a bowl. In a pan over low heat, melt golden syrup, 120g chocolate, and 2 tablespoons of butter. Combine this with the crumbs along with an egg, mix thoroughly, and press into the pan. Refrigerate until firm. In a small pan over low heat, melt the remaining chocolate and butter until smooth, then pour over the slice. Use a knife to score the top, creating 24 squares. Place an additional nut in the center of each square and refrigerate until set. Slice the dessert and serve, adding extra chocolate if desired for a decorative touch.
