Decadent Instant Pot chocolate cake topped with rich chocolate sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions:
  • Preheat a multi-functional pressure cooker like an Instant Pot® on the Saute setting. Combine sugar and butter in the pot, stirring until the butter melts, around 5 minutes. Pour in the milk and cocoa powder, whisking until smooth and slightly bubbling, approximately 5 minutes. Take the pot off the heat and allow the chocolate mixture to cool for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Transfer 1/2 cup of the luscious chocolate mixture into a small bowl for an enticing drizzle over the cake.
  • Gradually whisk eggs into the chocolate mixture in the pot. Stir in flour and baking soda until well combined.
  • Replace the pot back into the cooker. Seal the lid securely. Choose the Cake function as per the manufacturer's guidelines. Set the timer for 30 minutes. Let the pressure build for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Once the timer goes off, switch to the Warm function and set another timer for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the lid and carefully lift out the pot. Gently run a knife around the sides of the pot to loosen the cake. Place a serving plate on top of the pot and flip it to invert the cake onto the plate.
  • Using a toothpick or sharp knife, perforate the cake. Gradually pour the chocolate mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak up the delicious chocolate.
