Chocolate Cherry Brownie Dessert

Indulgent chocolate dessert with cherries, marshmallows, and extra chocolate, enhanced by a brownie mix.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Delights Supreme Original Brownie Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 1/3 cup chopped maraschino cherries, well drained
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan) and grease the bottom of an 8-inch square pan with shortening or cooking spray. Prepare and bake brownies according to box instructions. Allow to cool completely on a rack for about 1 1/2 hours.
  • In a chilled large bowl, whip the whipping cream with an electric mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form. Fold in the marshmallows and cherries gently. Spread the mixture evenly over the brownies and drizzle chocolate syrup on top. Swirl through the whipped cream mixture with a knife.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for about 1 hour until cold. Slice into 4 rows by 4 rows. Keep any extra dessert covered and refrigerated.
