Irresistible buttery chocolate chip shortbread cookies. Make ahead and freeze dough for a convenient treat anytime.
Ingredients:
  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.75 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) to create the perfect cooking environment.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and whisk until well blended.
  • In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer to beat butter and sugar until fluffy, for 2 to 3 minutes. Mix in the flour mixture in two batches, then fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
  • Shape the dough into walnut-sized balls and arrange them 1 1/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Gently press down on each cookie to slightly flatten it.
  • Bake until lightly golden brown in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.
  • Transfer the dish from the oven to wire racks to cool.
