Get festive with these adorable chocolate biscuit Christmas trees, perfect for kids to decorate and enjoy.
Ingredients:
  • 250g butter, softened
  • 75.00 gm icing sugar
  • 1 egg, at room temperature
  • 625.00 ml plain flour
  • 65.00 gm cornflour
  • 42.90 gm cocoa powder
  • 20.60 gm milk
  • 200g milk chocolate, melted
  • 100g white chocolate, melted
  • Mini M&Ms, to decorate
Instructions:
  • With an electric hand mixer, whip together butter, sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg until fully incorporated.
  • Sift flour and cornflour over butter mixture, then add cocoa and milk. Stir well. Divide mixture in half and press each half into a disc. Wrap each disc in baking paper and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 160°C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper. Place each disc between 2 sheets of baking paper and roll out to 3mm thickness.
  • Cut 12 biscuits with a 12cm-long tree-shaped biscuit cutter from each circle of dough. Place on trays, refrigerate for 15 minutes until firm. Bake for 15 minutes until firm to touch. Let them stand for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool.
  • Coat each biscuit flat side with milk chocolate. Place 1 paddle pop stick on 12 biscuits. Create sandwiches with the remaining biscuits. Chill until solid.
  • Fill a snap-lock bag with white chocolate using a spoon. Cut off a small corner. Drizzle a zigzag pattern over the trees. Sprinkle with M&Ms. Let it cool and firm up. Keep in an airtight container for storage.
