Indulgent and decadent chocolate cake resembling a fudgy brownie. Use high-quality chocolate and top with whipped cream for the perfect treat.
Ingredients:
  • 16 (1 ounce) squares bittersweet chocolate
  • 10 tablespoons butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) while you prepare your 8-inch round pan with a quick greasing and flouring.
  • Melt the chocolate and butter together in a double boiler until smooth. Take it off the heat.
  • Whisk eggs and sugar over a double boiler until light and lemon colored. Fold in flour, then mix a quarter of the egg mixture into the chocolate. Pour in the rest of the egg mixture and fold until well combined. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan.
  • Bake the cake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes until soft and slightly under-baked. Let it cool in the pan before removing.
