Decadent layered mint brownie bars with rich fudgy brownie base and chocolate glaze.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Delights Supreme Original Brownie Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 3 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon mint extract
  • Betty Crocker™ green gel food color
  • 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (or 325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Line a 9-inch square pan with foil, leaving some overhang. Grease the foil with shortening or cooking spray. Follow the brownie mix instructions to prepare and bake. Allow to cool completely on a rack for about 1 1/2 hours.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to blend smooth butter and cream cheese. Mix in 2 tablespoons whipping cream until well combined. Gradually add powdered sugar and beat until fluffy. Incorporate mint extract and desired food color. Spread over cooled brownies and refrigerate for about 1 hour until firm.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, gently warm the Topping ingredients over medium-low heat, stirring continuously until silky and well combined. Remove from heat and allow to sit for 15 minutes before using.
  • Drizzle topping over the filling and spread evenly. Chill for approximately 2 hours until firm. Use the foil to lift the brownies out of the pan and peel away the foil. Allow the brownies to sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before cutting into 16 squares. Keep the brownies covered in the refrigerator for storing.
