Mint-Chocolate Brownies

"Indulge in minty brownies with mint chip-infused batter and a luscious mint-chocolate glaze on top!"
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Delights Supreme Original Brownie Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box
  • 2/3 cup mint-flavored chocolate chips
  • 1 cup from 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting (from 16 oz container)
  • 1/4 teaspoon mint extract
  • Betty Crocker™ green gel food color, if desired
  • 1/3 cup mint-flavored chocolate chips
  • 4 teaspoons butter
  • 4 teaspoons corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon hot water
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan) and grease the bottom of a 9-inch square pan with shortening or cooking spray. Prepare brownie batter according to package instructions, then gently fold in 2/3 cup of chocolate chips. Spread the batter evenly in the pan.
  • Bake for 28-31 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted 2 inches from the side of the pan comes out almost clean. Allow to cool completely on a rack for about 1 1/2 hours.
  • In a small bowl, mix together all frosting ingredients until smooth. Spread the delicious frosting over the brownies.
  • In a small saucepan, gently warm the Glaze ingredients until melted, stirring occasionally. Gradually add hot water, 1/4 teaspoon at a time, until the mixture reaches drizzling consistency. Drizzle the glaze over the frosted brownies and chill for about 30 minutes until set. Cut into 4 rows by 4 rows before serving.
