Kid-friendly choc-chip scones with only 5 ingredients for a simple and delicious treat.
Ingredients:
  • 450g self-raising flour
  • 250ml lemonade
  • 600ml thickened cream
  • 190.00g chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat your oven to a toasty 220°C while you line a baking tray with parchment paper. 2. In a big bowl, create a well in the center of the flour. Pour in the lemonade, 1 cup (250ml) of cream, and toss in the combined chocolate chips. 3. Use a flat-bladed knife to gently stir everything together until you've got a soft, sticky dough.
  • Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently until smooth. Flatten into a 3cm-thick disc. Use a floured 5cm round cutter to cut out discs, rerolling dough as needed. Arrange the scones closely together on the lined tray.
  • Brush the tops with a touch of the leftover cream. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden and scones sound hollow when tapped.
  • Using an electric mixer, whip the remaining cream in a bowl until soft peaks form. Serve the scones warm or at room temperature with whipped cream.
