Award-winning 2009 cookie recipe! Try this irresistible treat with chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar - reminiscent of a beloved cereal snack.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ peanut butter cookie mix
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Mix cookie mix, oil, water, and egg in a large bowl until a soft dough forms.
  • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets without flattening them.
  • Bake for 8-9 minutes until edges are lightly golden brown. Allow to cool for 2 minutes, then transfer to cooling racks. Let cool completely for about 15 minutes.
  • Microwave chocolate chips, butter, and peanut butter in a small microwaveable bowl on High for 1 to 1 minute 30 seconds. Stir until smooth, then mix in vanilla.
  • Prepare a gallon-sized resealable plastic bag by adding 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar to it. In a large bowl, place 12 cooled cookies and pour one-third of the chocolate mixture over them. Gently coat the cookies by tossing them with a rubber spatula. Take 3 cookies at a time and coat them by sealing the bag with powdered sugar and shaking gently. Place the coated cookies on a cooling rack to set. Repeat this process with the remaining cookies and chocolate mixture, ensuring to warm the mixture if necessary. Add more powdered sugar to the bag as needed while coating all the cookies.
