Create a festive cookie forest with Christmas tree cookies on lollipop sticks!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • Flour, butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch for cutout cookies
  • 20 (6-inch) paper lollipop sticks
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • Various shades of green gel and/or liquid food color
  • Assorted green and white candy sprinkles and green edible glitter
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare cookie dough according to package instructions for cutout cookies. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness on a lightly floured work surface. Use tree-shaped cookie cutters of various sizes to cut out tree shapes, re-rolling dough as needed.
  • Place the cookies on a baking sheet without greasing. Gently insert a paper lollipop stick in the center of each cookie. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are set and the cookies are a light golden brown. Let them cool on the sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  • Separate the frosting into 3 or 4 bowls, then add different shades of green food coloring to each bowl. Spread the colorful frosting onto the cookies and decorate as you like.
