Create a festive Christmas tree with stacked chewy chocolate chip cookies!
Ingredients:
  • 485g milk chocolate chunk cookie mix
  • 80g butter, softened
  • 1 free range egg
  • 453g creamy deluxe vanilla frosting
  • Assorted sprinkles, to decorate
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180C and prepare 2 baking trays with baking paper. In a bowl, mix together the cookie mix, butter, and egg until well combined and a soft dough forms.
  • Divide the dough into 2 portions. Take a portion and shape a ball the size of a mandarin. Repeat with the other portion. Proceed to create 2 sets of 8 balls, gradually decreasing in size. Aim for baked cookies with diameters ranging from 3cm to 10cm.
  • Arrange smaller cookies 5cm apart on one tray and larger cookies on the other. Flatten them slightly. Bake small cookies for 10-12 minutes and larger cookies for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool on the trays for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Heat frosting in microwave-safe bowl for 20 seconds, then stir until smooth. Stack cookies on a plate from largest to smallest, spreading frosting and sprinkles between each layer. Finish with frosting and sprinkles. Repeat to create a second tree.
