Cinnamon Ice Cream II

Decadent cinnamon ice cream, ideal for pairing with fruit desserts or cakes.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 6 eggs
  • 0.66666668653488 cup sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Combine heavy cream and sour cream in a medium bowl, then let sit in a warm place for an hour to thicken.
  • In a clean bowl, whisk eggs and sugar with an electric mixer until light in color. Add milk and cinnamon, then pour the mixture into a saucepan. Heat over medium-low until simmering. Stir continuously until thick enough to coat a spoon. Mix in vanilla, then remove from heat and let it cool.
  • Once the custard has cooled, gently fold in the sour cream mixture. Follow the ice cream maker's instructions to freeze the mixture.
