Sweet and spiced rice dish with raisins, milk, cinnamon, and sugar for a delightful twist on a classic.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons nonfat milk
  • 5 tablespoons raisins
  • 2 teaspoons margarine
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium-high heat, bring rice, water, milk, raisins, and margarine to a boil. Stir occasionally. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender, about 15 minutes. Serve rice sprinkled with cinnamon sugar mixture.
