Easy Chicken Cordon Bleu with creamy wine sauce, breaded chicken, ham, and cheese stuffing. Classic and delicious.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 6 slices ham
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 cup dry white wine
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions:
  • Combine the flour and paprika in a shallow bowl.
  • Flatten chicken breasts to 1/4 inch thickness. Top each breast with a slice of Swiss cheese and a slice of ham, keeping the edges clear. Roll chicken around the filling, coat all sides in flour, and secure with toothpicks.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter. Brown chicken on all sides for 5 to 8 minutes. Stir in wine and bouillon. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 30 minutes until chicken is cooked through. Ensure it reaches an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C).
  • Place the chicken on a warm platter and gently remove the toothpicks. In a small bowl, combine cream and cornstarch, then slowly pour it into the skillet while whisking continuously to merge with the wine mixture. Cook and stir until the sauce thickens, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Serve the chicken immediately after generously drizzling it with the delectable sauce.
