Classic fudgy brownie

"Picnic-perfect brownies, topped with a decadent chocolate sauce drizzle."
Ingredients:
  • 150g unsalted butter, chopped
  • 150g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 4 eggs, lightly whisked
  • 170g (3/4 cup) white sugar
  • 75g (1/2 cup) plain flour
  • 30g (1/4 cup) Dutch cocoa powder
  • 4.40 gm vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180C/160C fan forced. Grease a 20cm square pan and line it with baking paper.
  • Melt butter and chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, ensuring the bowl doesn't touch the water. Stir until melted, then remove from heat. Quickly mix in egg, sugar, flour, cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt. Combine everything by beating with a wooden spoon. Pour mixture into pan and bake for 35 minutes until a skewer comes out with moist crumbs. Let it cool completely.
