Decadent Italian tiramisu with layers of ladyfingers and creamy mascarpone, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients:
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1.25 cups white sugar
  • 1.25 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1.75 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 (12 ounce) packages ladyfingers
  • 0.33333334326744 cup coffee flavored liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
  • 1 (1 ounce) square semisweet chocolate
Instructions:
  • In a double boiler over boiling water, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar. Lower the heat and cook for approximately 10 minutes, stirring continuously. Once done, take it off the heat and whip the yolks until they become thick and a lovely lemon color.
  • Combine mascarpone with whipped yolks, beating until well mixed. In a separate bowl, whip cream until stiff peaks form. Carefully fold the whipped cream into the yolk mixture and set aside.
  • Gently separate the lady fingers in half, and arrange them on the bottom and along the sides of a spacious glass bowl. Drizzle the lady fingers with coffee liqueur for a delightful flavor. Spread half of the creamy filling over the lady fingers. Repeat the layers of lady fingers, coffee liqueur, and filling. Top it off with a sprinkle of cocoa powder and elegant chocolate curls. Chill in the fridge for several hours or overnight, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully.
  • Create elegant chocolate curls by gently gliding a vegetable peeler along the edge of the chocolate bar.
