Energetic twist on classic cube steak: breaded with seasoned flour and crushed crackers, pan-fried to perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 4 (4 ounce) cube steaks
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 (4 ounce) packet saltine crackers, crushed
  • 1.5 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 1.5 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons Montreal steak seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Combine the egg and milk in a shallow bowl, then set aside.
  • Combine flour, crushed saltines, seasoned salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and steak seasoning. Coat steaks with egg mixture, then press them into the flour mixture, ensuring they are fully coated.
  • In a big skillet, warm oil over medium-high heat. Cook steaks until golden brown, cooked through, and slightly pink in the center, about 4 minutes on each side. Ensure they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C) using a meat thermometer.
