Satisfy hungry appetites in just 30 minutes with this winning dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup Progresso™ garlic-herb bread crumbs
  • 4 beef cube steaks (4 oz each)
  • 1/3 cup canola or vegetable oil
  • 1 cup thinly sliced onions
  • 3 tablespoons Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
  • Place 1/2 cup of Bisquick mix in a shallow dish. Pour buttermilk into a small bowl. Put bread crumbs in another shallow dish. Coat beef steaks with Bisquick mix, dip in buttermilk, then coat with bread crumbs.
  • Heat oil in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook steaks for 6 to 8 minutes, turning once, until thoroughly cooked. Remove from skillet and cover with foil to keep warm.
  • Cook the onions in the skillet over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender.
  • Shake together 3 tablespoons of Bisquick mix and half-and-half in a tightly covered container until well-blended. Pour the mixture over onions in a skillet. Cook over low heat for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the gravy thickens. Pour the gravy over the steaks and sprinkle with parsley before serving.
