Delicious cranberry pie with sweetened fruit, brown sugar, and crunchy walnuts baked to perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound fresh cranberries
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon shortening
  • 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Crush berries. Combine with sugar and 1/4 cup flour. Transfer mixture into pie crust.
  • Crush walnuts into small pieces, then combine with brown sugar, 1/4 cup flour, and shortening using a pastry blender until crumbly. Sprinkle the streusel over the pie.
  • Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven until the crust turns golden brown and the filling is bubbling, which should take about 45 minutes.
