Decadent cream puffs filled with whipped cream and drizzled with melted chocolate.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 0.5 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, bring water to a boil and stir in butter until melted. Add flour and salt at once, stirring vigorously until a ball forms. Remove from heat and swiftly blend in eggs, one by one, until smooth. Spoon heaping tablespoons onto a cookie sheet, spacing them 3 inches apart.
  • First, bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then lower the heat to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and bake for an additional 25 minutes. Remove the puffs from the oven, split them, and remove the soft dough from the center. Turn off the oven and return the puffs to dry out in the cooling oven for 20 minutes. Once done, cool them completely on a wire rack.
  • Whip cream in a medium bowl with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Add vanilla and sugar, then fill the cream puffs with the whipped cream. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave or slowly over low heat, and drizzle the melted chocolate over the tops of the cream puffs. Serve immediately and enjoy!
