Pearl onions in creamy sauce, topped with buttery cracker crust and baked to perfection in a casserole.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 20 ounces pearl onions
  • 50 buttery round crackers, crumbled
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to create the perfect cooking environment.
  • Whisk together butter, flour, milk, salt, and pepper to create a smooth sauce over low heat.
  • Spread onions evenly in a 2 quart casserole dish and cover them with creamy white sauce.
  • Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a saute pan and toast cracker crumbs until golden. Sprinkle over onions, then bake for 20 minutes or until steaming hot.
