Quick and delicious side dish: vibrant peas in creamy sauce of milk, flour, and butter.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup milk, or as needed
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, bring water, peas, and salt to a boil until peas are just tender. Drain, return to saucepan, and reduce heat to medium. Stir in flour, add butter and enough milk to barely cover peas. Cook and stir until thickened, 5 to 10 minutes.
