Crispy battered bacon cooked in the oven and served with delicious white gravy. Inspired by a travel show, this indulgent dish is a must-try for bacon lovers.
Ingredients:
  • 3 eggs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 pound thick sliced bacon, cut in half
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, whip the eggs and milk until silky smooth. Submerge the bacon strips in the mixture for 30 minutes to soak.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and heat oil in a deep skillet to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, and pepper by whisking together. Remove the bacon from the egg mixture and coat it with the flour mixture. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Fry 3 to 5 slices of bacon at a time until golden brown, approximately 4 minutes per batch. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Transfer all cooked bacon onto a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven until crispy, around 7 minutes.
