Apple and pumpkin crisp - a baked delight for any occasion!
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped peeled apples (2 small)
  • 3/4 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • Whipped cream, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Arrange apples in a single layer at the bottom of a 9-inch glass pie plate. Microwave on High, uncovered, for 4 to 6 minutes until apples are crisp-tender.
  • In a small bowl, combine 3/4 cup flour, brown sugar, butter, and 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice. Mix until it forms a crumbly mixture. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together all the ingredients except for the whipped cream until smooth. Pour the mixture over the apples and sprinkle with the flour mixture. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown and set. Allow to cool for 20 minutes before serving warm with whipped cream.
