Decadent apple-filled cinnamon rolls topped with a creamy cream cheese and syrup frosting.
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 cups diced apples
  • 2 tablespoons Hungry Jack® Original Syrup
  • 2.25 cups Hungry Jack® Pancake and Waffle Mix, divided
  • 2 tablespoons Hungry Jack® Original Syrup, divided
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter, divided
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon pancake syrup
  • 0.75 cup confectioners' sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and grease an 8x8 baking dish with butter.
  • In a saucepan, simmer the apples and syrup over medium heat until the apples release their juices. Let it cool.
  • Combine 2 cups of pancake mix, milk, and 1 tablespoon of syrup until a soft dough forms. Sprinkle the counter with the extra pancake mix, knead the dough a few times, ensuring there's enough pancake mix underneath. Gently shape the dough into a 12x8 rectangle using your hands.
  • Arrange the chilled apples over the dough.
  • Combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon of butter. Sprinkle the mixture over the apples, then roll up the dough from the shorter side. If the dough sticks, carefully slide a butter knife underneath and lightly dust with pancake mix.
  • Slice the log into 9 even rolls and place them in the prepared pan. Combine the remaining tablespoon of melted butter and syrup, then drizzle over the rolls. Bake for 20-22 minutes. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Combine the frosting components and generously slather over the warm rolls. Add a decadent drizzle of extra syrup for a truly indulgent touch.
