Quick and flavorful Mexican rice side dish with onion and garlic powder, and tomato sauce, ready in 25 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 (6.5 ounce) can tomato sauce
Instructions:
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat canola oil and give it a flavorful boost with onion and garlic powder. Add rice and cook until golden for 2 to 4 minutes.
  • Combine water and tomato sauce in the pot and bring to a vigorous boil. Lower the heat to medium-low, cover, and gently simmer until the rice is tender, approximately 15 minutes.
