Grilled shawarma wraps with sliced steak, tomatoes, onions, and tahini sauce - a delicious combo cooked in a panini press.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound beef top sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon shawarma seasoning
  • 0.5 cup tahini
  • 3 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 0.5 lemon, juiced
  • 1 (10 ounce) package large flour tortillas
  • 2 tomatoes, halved and sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil. Add beef, shawarma seasoning, allspice, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cook until beef is browned and tender, turning occasionally, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Combine creamy tahini, tangy yogurt, fresh lemon juice, and a hint of salt in a small bowl, whisking until smooth.
  • Spread a generous layer of tahini sauce in the center of each tortilla. Evenly distribute the beef slices, tomato slices, and onion slices among the tortillas. Roll up the tortillas tightly.
  • Preheat a panini press. Place rolled tortillas seam side-down on the press until grill marks appear, approximately 2 minutes. Cut each tortilla into 4 to 5 pieces.
