Indulgent blackberry crumble cake topped with buttery crumbles, a delightful way to enjoy end-of-summer blackberries. Pair with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 cup milk, or as needed
  • 0.25 cup butter, cut into small chunks
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously butter a 9x12-inch baking dish.
  • Combine fresh, juicy blackberries with a generous sprinkle of 1/4 cup of white sugar in a bowl, gently mixing them together until fully coated.
  • Combine oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, 3/4 cup white sugar, salt, and baking powder. Stir in milk until well combined. Transfer the batter to a prepared baking dish. Spread blackberry mixture over the batter, then sprinkle oat mixture on top. Finish by placing butter chunks over the oats.
