Indulgent pecan pie bars with a chocolate chip cookie crust offer a modern twist on the classic dessert, making it easier to enjoy with a higher crust-to-filling ratio for a truly decadent treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Gold Medal™ All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and generously spray the bottom of a 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine all Crust ingredients in a large bowl until a dough forms. Press the dough into the bottom of the pan using floured fingers. Bake for 20 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, mix all Filling ingredients until thoroughly combined. Pour the mixture over the hot crust.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until the center is fully set. Allow it to cool completely, approximately 2 hours. Slice into 9 rows by 4 rows to create bars. Store in the refrigerator while covered.
