Easy French-style peach pie made with common pantry staples.
Ingredients:
  • 1 recipe pastry for a single 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 (28 ounce) can sliced peaches, drained
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C), then gently mold pie pastry into a 9-inch pie pan.
  • Spread a layer of fresh peaches in the pie crust. Combine sugar, egg, flour, butter, and cinnamon in a bowl, then drizzle over the peaches.
  • Place the dish in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Then lower the temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and continue baking until the peach filling is bubbling and the crust is lightly browned, for about 40 to 45 minutes.
