Try this delicious twist on French toast - brioche slices dipped in a maple-infused batter, then cooked in a waffle iron for a perfect breakfast treat!
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 1/2-inch thick pieces brioche
Instructions:
  • Preheat waffle iron following manufacturer's guidelines.
  • In a wide bowl, combine milk, eggs, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt, whisking until fully blended. Dip a slice of brioche into the mixture, pressing gently to coat both sides. Lift the bread with a slotted spatula, allowing any excess mixture to drip back into the bowl, and place on a rimmed baking sheet. Repeat with the rest of the bread slices. Allow the bread to soak up the mixture for about 2 minutes.
  • - Grease the hot waffle iron with cooking spray. - Add a slice of brioche onto the iron and shut the lid gently. - Cook until golden and the steam stops, around 3 to 5 minutes. - Repeat with the rest of the batter.
