"Sauteed cabbage with bell peppers and onion - a simple and flavorful side dish."
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons grapeseed oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning, or to taste, divided
  • 0.5 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 0.5 medium green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium head cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter, or more to taste
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large cast iron skillet, warm grapeseed oil over medium heat. Sauté onions until softened, around 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook until aromatic, about 1 to 2 minutes. Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning and mix well.
  • Sauté red and green bell peppers for 1 to 2 minutes. Incorporate cabbage, 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning, and stir well. Melt butter in the mixture. Let the cabbage simmer until tender, approximately 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
