20-minute crispy fried chicken with garlic powder and zesty cayenne seasoning.
Ingredients:
  • 5 cups vegetable oil for frying, or as needed
  • 0.5 cup cornstarch, or more as needed
  • 2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
Instructions:
  • In a deep saucepan over medium heat, heat 2 inches of oil while placing cornstarch in a bowl.
  • Cut chicken into 1/2-inch thick slices. Place in a bowl and season with salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and cayenne.
  • Cut chicken into 2 or 3 pieces and coat evenly with cornstarch until white; add more cornstarch if needed.
  • Gently submerge the chicken in batches into the hot oil. Fry until golden and cooked through, approximately 1 minute per side. Place on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil. Serve immediately.
