Herbs and spices blend for perfect turkey seasoning. Roast to juicy perfection for the holidays.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12 pound) whole turkey, neck and giblets removed
  • 0.75 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon ground sage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
  • Collect all your precious ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to a cozy 325 degrees F (165 degrees C), then gently clean the turkey and pat it dry with paper towels before nestling it into a roasting pan with a lid.
  • Mix olive oil, garlic powder, basil, sage, salt, and pepper in a small bowl to create a flavorful herb mixture. Gently brush the herbed mixture all over the uncooked turkey. Add 2 cups of water to the bottom of the roasting pan for moisture.
  • Roast the covered pan in the preheated oven until the thickest part of the thigh reaches 180°F (82°C) on an instant-read thermometer, about 3 to 3 1/2 hours.
  • Take the turkey out of the oven and let it rest for approximately 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
  • Savor while hot!
