Indulgent brownies inspired by a classic chocolate bar, made with only 5 ingredients for ultimate fudginess and widespread delight.
Ingredients:
  • 6 x 53g Mars bars, chopped
  • 100g butter, chopped
  • 3 eggs, lightly whisked
  • 75g (1/2 cup) self-raising flour
  • 50g (1/2 cup) cocoa powder
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 160C/140C fan forced. Grease an 18cm square cake pan and line the base with baking paper, allowing it to extend up two sides.
  • In a heatproof bowl, melt chopped Mars and butter over a pan of simmering water (ensure bowl doesn't touch water). Stir occasionally until butter and chocolate are melted but nougat lumps remain. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Combine egg with the chocolate mixture and stir well. Sift in the flour and cocoa powder, then fold to combine. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top. Bake for 30 minutes until a skewer inserted in the center comes out with slightly clinging crumbs. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift the brownie using the paper and cut into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.
